The Defiance Bar is the back entertaining space and private bar area at the Mill on Constance Street. Its original home was an old flour mill and the main brand it produced was called Defiance. As this was to be a subbrand to the main bar and a space to use for overflow and functions we created a stylised script-based logo with some subtle references carried over from the main umbrella brand.
The brief for this one was much the same as our original scope of works for the Mill, to carry through the hand-crafted applications and to inject some much need personality and a brand story that punters could connect with. We did this by tapping into the history of the venue. It was once used to house USA marines during the war and as it's located in the heart of the Brisbane nightlife hub The Valley we wanted to create a quirky tongue-in-cheek approach to some of our digital art and storytelling.
