In 1863 Charles Baker bought the land on which The Glen Hotel proudly stands today. The Hotel became the perfect change–station for Cobb & Co's daily route between Brisbane and Southport, providing hot meals, cold ale, and sweet delicious treats for the road that lay in wait.

Today we see a return to tradition with Charles Baker's famous donuts again being served to locals and travellers alike. Perhaps the only thing that's changed is the time it takes to get to your end destination, and how far you've travelled before you want to come back for more!
