The Crankshop in Tenterfield is a small independent bike shop. With some of Australia's best mountain bike trails at its front door, the owners wanted a brand that would be instantly recognisable and attract their tribe of would-be passers-by.
With a workshop out back to help with repairs, the owners pitched the idea of using cranks and bike parts to build a character or mascot into the logotype. We came up with the naming for this one and from this, we create our little grease monkey friend "Cranky". All up this project was a lot of fun, it's great to create a brand that needs to be fun and it's hopefully infectious and has the same effect on the end users. This will undoubtedly lead to a brand that can successfully apply its trademark to all manner of merchandise and promotional items giving our client a massive return on investment but more importantly, it is a brand that is quite literally the face of the business.
